2007 NCGA Tournaments
NCGA ASSOCIATE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Format:
Best Two Balls of four.
Play will be 90% (men) 95% (women) of the course handicap (for both
qualifiers and championship) using a maximum current index of 18.4 for
calculation. All players with indexes of 18.5 to 36.4(men) or 40.4(women)
are eligible but must play to a maximum current index of 18.4. Two players
from each club will be paired with two players from another club.
Club Qualifying - April 21, 2007:
Legion Linksters Qualifying Tournament is scheduled
for the Franklin Canyon Tournament, April 21. We will offer 4 spots
to the top golfers who place in the first flight. You may decline to
go. If you decline to go we will ask the next qualified person. To qualify
you must be 18 years or older. Be a member of the club. You must have
a established NCGA Handicap. Individuals pay for the sectional qualifying.
The club will pick up the $220.00 fee for the team for the Sectional
Qualifying if they advance past the local qualifying. Any additional
costs including cart fees are up to the individuals.
Team Entry Deadline - May 2, 2007
Local Qualifying - June 6 or 7, 2007 @ $220.00 per team (cost up
to the individuals)
Sectional Qualifying - July 23 or July 24, 2007 @ $220.00 per team (club
will pick up cost)
Championship Proper - (Mon. - Tues.) August 20-21, 2007 (no additional
fee)

Format:
Four-Ball (Two-Person Net Better Ball Stroke Play)..
Play will be 90% (men) 95% (women) of the course handicap (for both
qualifiers and championship) using a maximum current index of 18.4 for
calculation. All players with indexes of 18.5 and above are eligible
but must play to a maximum current index of 18.4. If partners' course
handicaps differ more than 8 strokes an additional 10% reduction will
be applied to their course handicap.
Club Qualifying - May 19, 2007:

for the Mare Island Tournament, May 19. We will offer 2 spots to the
top golfers who place in the first flight. You may decline to go. If
you decline to go we will ask the next qualified person. To qualify
you must be 18 years or older. Be a member of the club. You must have
an established NCGA Handicap. Individuals pay for the sectional qualifying.
The club will pick up the $220.00 fee for the team for the Championship
if they advance past Sectional Qualifying. Any additional costs including
cart fees are up to the individual.

NCGA ASSOCIATE CLUB NET AMATEUR
CHAMPIONSHIP
Format:
Net Stroke Play.
Players will receive 100% of their course handicap at all levels of
play. NCGA Women Competitors: Women will compete from the forward tees
in all NCGA Events. Because different tees generally have different
ratings the player playing from the set of tees with the higher course
rating will receive additional strokes equal to the difference between
course ratings (differences with .5 or greater will be rounded upward).
The difference calculated will then be added to the player's Course
Handicap (less any percentages for team events) who is playing the higher
rated set of tees.
Club Qualifying - June 16, 2007:
Legion Linksters Qualifying Tournament is scheduled
for the Callipe Reserve, June 16. We will offer 2 spots to the top golfers
who place in the first flight and 1 spot to the top golfer in the 2nd
flight. You may decline to go. If you decline to go we will ask the
next qualified person. To qualify you must be 18 years or older, be
a member of the club and you must have an established NCGA Handicap.
Individuals pay for the sectional qualifying. The club will pick up
the $110.00 fee for for the Championship Proper if you advance past
the Sectional Qualifying. Any additional costs including cart fees are
up to the individual.
Player(s) Entry Deadline - July 25, 2007
Sectional Qualifying - August 30, 2007 @ $55.00 per person (cost
up to the individuals)
Championship Proper - (Mon. - Tues.) September 24 or 25, 2007 @ $110.00
per player (club will pick up cost)

CHAMPIONSHIP
Format:

or older. You may decline to go. If you decline to go we will ask the
next qualified person. To qualify you must be 55 years or older, be
a member of the club and you must have an established NCGA Handicap.
Individuals pay for the sectional qualifying at $55.00 per player. The
club will pick up the $220.00 tournament fee per team for the Sectional
Qualifying. Any additional costs including cart fees are up to the individual.
